This is bloody awesome. All the little details... I hope you got plenty of gold for this.
The only thing that really shows the dither is the cape clamp. You can use transparency in PNGs at any colour level though, it just makes for big files sometimes xP
Really? Aha! I'm a PNG newb! ^^ Now I'll know if I do another PNG art. w00t!
TY for the comment too. I only did a 24 hour Auction and I had.. nearly no art examples. lol I still got.. about 180-190k though. ^^ So I made my avi pretty. XD
lol. I don't think I'll get many pageviews because of the new popular system on DA. But that's okay. The few comments I already got are more than enough and already made me very happy. So thank you again.
I think part of it is to try to expose new artists and themes... so the really overdone categories like anime and fanart get penalties. So as an example, because my gallery is mostly anime/fanart right now, my art is automatically pushed back where no one will see it. (I'm glad I don't really want the crazy exposure anyways... but a lot of artists are really mad about it).
But small categories like certain photography falls into, get a benefit for being rare. So they appear as more popular. Faves and pageviews don't affect the outcome anymore. :/
I just don't like running a search for art on eg: "Count D" and only finding MS paint stuff or bad cosplay photos.. and I basically have to rummage through 40 pages to find some good pictures. (I actually found a lot of my faves through other people's faves because the popular search is so useless now...) hmm.
The intentions for the new system are good. But it's not working the way it's supposed to...
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
The Cutting Edge is a weekly article that features brand new selected high quality art products that caught our eyes. Check out the cutting edge prints some of your fellow artists have submitted in the past week!
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant.
